The Farmer

There were more than 20 farms on the estate in 1902. There are now eighteen. A dairy maid milked a maximum of 10 cows so a farm needed in excess of ten milkers. Now most of the farms are worked by two or three men with seasonal help. The farm workers from three of the farms filled one side of the church.
